  • What is the safest way to post a Gift Card to Cardyard

You should not post physical cards to us unless you have first discussed this with us. All cards can be sent to us electronically, and we only accept physical cards when you have a large number, and by special arrangement. If we have agreed for you to post the cards, here are some guidelines. Use a postage stamp, and write your return address including the send code (also called `order code` which is a 7 character code specific to your package) on the envelope. If Royal Mail has a problem delivering your item to us, they rely on the return address to get the item safely back to you or if the envelope hasn't got sufficient postage, we are able to contact you immediately. Use a sturdy envelope. We find that gift cards can easily break through the side of an envelope as it falls into a postbox, so make sure the envelope is strong, and secure the cards so they don't move, but please don't put sellotape over them as the residue is very hard to remove. To avoid letters being held by Royal Mail, use a large letter stamp, just in case it is thicker than 5 mm which can happen if the contents move. If you want complete peace of mind, use Royal Mail special delivery which will refund you the value of the cards if they don't arrive. The other Royal Mail service that some people choose is signed-for and this provides proof of hand delivery. Whatever you do, don't forget to write your return address on the envelope. Our address is as follows. We recommend using Royal Mail signed for service:Cardyard6 Lyndhurst RoadEXETEREX2 4PA If you are sending gift cards in bulk, please contact us and with agreement send to our PO Box:CardyardPO Box 842EXETEREX1 9WZ

  • Why does my estimated payment date keep changing

When you list a card for sale on Cardyard, the system calculates the likely payment date based on how long that type of card (retailer and gift card or egift) takes to find a buyer, and adds the two week quarantine period. Each night, the system re-estimates how long to receive payment since it may not sell as quickly as we expect.Once the card is bought, an actual scheduled date is set as two weeks from the purchase date, give or take according to weekends and bank holidays. This date could be sooner or later than the previous estimated date.See also... . . . When will I receive payment?. . . . I’ve received less than the amount I should have been paid?

  • Why does it take 2 weeks to get paid

After a buyer has purchased your unwanted gift card, you have to wait 2 weeks before you receive payment for that gift card, also called the quarantine period. This period is to allow the buyer to check the card and spend it. You are still liable for the balance on the gift card after this period and it is very important that you take care of the gift card codes and do not allow anybody else to see them. The buyer can still make a claim after this two week period, but at least they have had a clear period before you get paid.see also Terms & Conditions clause 29
