Publishing a review during an investigation
An investigation takes place when a buyer reports a gift card as being faulty due to one of the following..
- the code is not recognised
- already been redeemed to a different account
- having less value than promised
We will contact the seller, and find out as much information as possible from the retailer. During this time we expect the buyer to maintain confidentiality, and writing a review on a reviews platform about this issue is a breach of confidentiality. It is also a distraction and reduces your chance of a positive outcome.
We will not respond to a buyer who publishes our responses or other information during an investigation; we don't want any more information to be published. In our experience people leave reviews during an investigation to try to influence it, and force an outcome. It is a fact that the majority of 1* reviews left on Cardyard's Trustpilot pages have been written by fraudsters who are trying to influence outcomes to their advantage.
