How to redeem: Cardyard sells John Lewis egifts, e-online only, and e-vouchers. They can be used online at johnlewis.com or waitrose.com. Additionally egifts can be used in Waitrose and John Lewis stores and catering units (excludes third-party outlets in John Lewis & Partners shops). You can show your e-gift on your phone at the till and they will scan the barcode.
Note, "e-online only" have card numbers and pins taken from a gift card, but have no barcode so cannot be used in-store unless you have added them to your Apple or Google wallet (see below).
The following images show how to use John Lewis egifts, "e-online only" and e-vouchers online.
How to balance check e-gifts and "e-online only": The online balance checker takes the card number and the PIN. You can also call a dedicated gift card hotline 0330 123 4024, where option 1 is an automated checker which does not require the PIN. Alternatively use the balance checker in the online checkout.
Adding to your Apple and Google Wallet: The online balance checker presents the balance, and will also present an Add to Google Wallet button and, if you are on an Apple device, Add to Apple Wallet. Clicking on one of these will generate a pass including the correct barcode and store it in your wallet. You can then use this in store by showing the barcode on your phone at the till.
e-vouchers: We rarely have e-vouchers. John Lewis e-vouchers cannot be used in-store, but can be used online at johnlewis.com or waitrose.com. E-vouchers are sometimes referred to as E-Codes as they use the same code format as paper vouchers. E-vouchers can only be used once, are redeemed in full into your online account at the checkout, and there is no balance checker. E-vouchers are often issued without an explicit expiry date, so we assume they never expire. However, we recommend you use them as soon as possible. We issue e-vouchers as 10 digit serial number and 7 character security code and retain the original email for security. There is no dedicated balance checker for e-vouchers, but you can check them in the checkout. They cannot be added to your Apple/Google wallet.
