How to redeem: These discount John Lewis plastic gift cards and paper vouchers can be used online at johnlewis.com or waitrose.com, and in Waitrose and John Lewis stores. E-vouchers can only be used online.
How to balance check: The online balance checker takes the card number and the PIN. You can also call a dedicated gift card hotline 0330 123 4024, where option 1 is an automated checker which does not require the PIN. You can also use it to purchase food and drink in our catering units (excludes third-party outlets in John Lewis & Partners shops).
John Lewis also issue E-gift cards which act the same as the plastic card and use the same balance checkers.
How to redeem: John Lewis paper vouchers can be used in-store and online, though online use requires the scratch off panel to be removed which makes them void for use in-store.
PHow to balance check: aper vouchers have no online nor phone balance checker and never expire.
How to redeem: John Lewis e-vouchers cannot be used in-store, but can be used online at johnlewis.com or waitrose.com. E-vouchers are sometimes referred to as E-Codes as they use the same code format as paper vouchers. E-vouchers can only be used once, are redeemed in full into your online account at the checkout, and there is no balance checker. E-vouchers are often issued without an explicit expiry date, so we assume they never expire. However, we recommend you use them as soon as possible. We issue e-vouchers as 10 digit serial number and 7 character security code and retain the original email for security.
