Apple gift cards can be used to buy any Apple product uncluding the App Store/iTunes, and from the Apple Store in-store and online. They never expire. However, you must spend any gift card bought from Cardyard within 42 days.

The new Apple gift cards have a code beginning with X and can be used anyware - they are a combination of iTunes and Apple Store gift cards.
The old Apple Store gift cards have a code beginning with a Y and can only be used in an Apple Store and at apple.com to purchase hardware, and can't be used on the App Store/iTunes and can't be redeemed into an Apple account. They can only be used in the checkout when purchasing hardware
The old iTunes card also begins with an X and can only be used online at the App Store/iTunes and not in an Apple Store nor at apple.com
Apple Store Gift Cards are completely different to iTunes and App Store gift cards. Don't get App Store and Apple store mixed up!
How to redeem:
- Apple Gift Cards can be used online at the App Store/iTunes and in the checkout on the Apple store website.
- Apple iTunes can be used online at the App Store/iTunes.
- Apple Store gift cards can only be used at the ceckout on the Apple store website to purchase hardware, and cannot be redeemed into an Apple account. Don't buy these unless you want to buy hardware.
